Her Mantra: “Embrace Life with Spirit
and Keep Moving Forward!”
With
her life’s purpose as "making a positive difference in the lives
of others," she declares "the more people's lives I touch in a
positive way, the more positive my life becomes!"
Both Atlanta natives, Darlene and Carl are married 40+ years
with three sons, Kenneth, Cory and Collin. While raising their
sons, Darlene's careers in interior design and marketing
spanned from the early '70s through the late '80s, and the
Mortgage Banking industry since '89. In 2004 she founded Imagize!
Consulting Services, pronounced image-ize)
www.ImagizeConsulting.com. She defines "Imagize" as meaning “to
Energize your Image." With the slogan, "It Matters Not Your
Age or Size, It's Always Time to Imagize!" she works with
individuals and small groups In developing a more effective
overall presence in business and in life. Her mission is to
debunk the myth that "a person must be a certain age or size
to be whomever, or get whatever and wherever they want to be in
life." A 2004 graduate of internationally acclaimed London
Image Institute's Advanced Executive course, she is currently
the Institute’s Graduate Division Director. She co-hosted a
weekly Atlanta radio talk-show in 2006 called "Your Inner
Voice." Referred to as “The Spirited Southerner,” her topics
are always enlightening and inspiring, whether she is speaking
before groups, composing articles or writing books. An
Assignment to Remember was released in 2007 as the first of
three novels in her Edgewise series, with the remaining two to
be released in 2008-2010. An earlier draft of the manuscript
was recognized the Atlanta Writers Club’s 1996 Novel of the
Year.
